Driscoll has 16 points in women's basketball setback

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Despite 16 points and six rebounds from Colby College's Haley Driscoll, 17th-ranked Bowdoin College took a 79-45 win over the Mules in non-conference women's basketball Saturday.

The Mules, who drop to 2-3 overall, play at Bates College on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Bowdoin, which is 7-0, and the Mules will play the NESCAC game between the two teams on Saturday, Jan. 20, at Colby.
 
By the numbers
* Driscoll (pictured) was 8-for-11 from the field, dished two assists, and had two blocked shots.
 
* Emma LaCascia and Ainsley Burns both had six points for the Mules. Burns had a game-high three blocked shots, while Emily Davis and Grace Coutu each had five rebounds.
 
* Hannah Graham led four Bowdoin players in double figures with 15 points
 
Game highlights
* The game was tied 9-9 in the first quarter, but the Polar Bears scored the final 16 points to lead 25-9 after one. The Mules scored 12 points in each of the final three quarters.
