Women's hockey drops tough overtime game to Hamilton, 1-0

CLINTON, Maine -- Colby College goalie Cierra San Roman made 27 saves, but Hamilton College scored 40 seconds into overtime in a 1-0 win over the Mules in NESCAC women's hockey Friday night.

The Mules drop to 1-3-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the league, while Hamilton is 3-2 and 3-0 in the conference. The two teams meet again Saturday at 3 p.m.

* Andrea Rockey scored off assists from Kate Piacenza and Kelli Mackey for Hamilton.
 
By the numbers
* San Roman made 10 saves in the second period.
 
* Hamilton goaltender Sam Walther stopped 23 shots for the shutout. She made 14 saves in the third period.
 
* After putting just nine shots on goal in the first two periods, Colby got going in the third period with the 14 shots.
 
* Tess Dupre had five shots on goal and won 14 face-offs for the Mules.
