Colby seniors play their final collegiate game

LEWISTON, Maine -- The Colby College women's soccer team closed out the 2017 season with a 2-0 setback at Bates College on Tuesday in NESCAC play.

The Mules finished 4-9-2 overall and 0-9-1 in the conference. Bates also ended its season Tuesday at 7-7-1 and 3-6-1 in the league.
 
Game highlights
* Olivia Amdur scored both goals for the Bobcats in the opening half. She took a long pass from Caroline Bogue, dribbled on the left side of the goal, and ripped a left-footed shot just under the crossbar at 11:57. With 10:58 left in the half, she headed in a cross from Sarah DiPillo.
 
* Colby seniors Laura Arnold, Jess Horick, Ally Ingraham, and Emily Martin played their final collegiate games.
 
By the numbers
* After giving up 13 shots in the opening half, Colby held Bates to just two shots in the final 45 minutes. 
 
* The Mules had six total shots, with first-year forward Olivia Greif accounting for half of her team's total.
